Snug & Outdoor has developed creative consultation techniques over many years which involve listening hard to local concerns and providingthe stimulus to draw people into a deeper exploration of what they dream of. Over a period of six months, between April and September 2007, we consulted widely with children, young people and adults who live and work in the area around Chimney Park, and this enabled us to find out who would be using the Park and what the play and recreation needs are for the various stakeholders.
Creative workshops were held with local schools which provided us with inspirational models and group poems that were incorporated into our designs for the scheme.
An interactive consultation event was hosted which attracted an excellent turnout and everyone was invited to share their ideas for Chimney Park.
